To help take our mission to the next level, we are seeking an energetic, business-savvy, technically grounded new team member to join the ACC family as an Environmental Technician/Scientist!

Environmental Professionals in this role will support the organization through the review and execution of new and existing technical projects to achieve overall client goals. This position requires a candidate who has a high degree of self-direction, can positively impact the business as both a team member and professional, is comfortable wearing multiple hats in an entrepreneurial environment, and who showcases a relentless desire to champion our clients and their needs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Safety and environmental program compliance;

  • Groundwater, surface water, methane, and storm water sampling;

  • Assistance with monitoring well installation and development;

  • Operation and maintenance of landfill gas extraction systems;

  • Post closure care site inspections;

  • Various field data collection and data reporting;

  • Regulatory file review and research;

  • Regulatory compliance, monitoring, reporting, and permitting support;

  • Data calculations, cost estimates, and plan and specification review; and

  • Client interaction when performing job duties.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Candidate should have 0-4 years of experience with a minimum of a two-year environmental science degree or related field from an accredited college or university. Candidate should be able to function effectively both independently and on teams and have excellent written and oral communication skills. Candidate should be proficient in MS Office Suite of programs.  Mechanical aptitude desired.

This position requires field work and overnight travel, so enjoying outdoor work is a must.  Candidate must have a clean driving record and drug screening, be capable of performing physically demanding work, and demonstrate a positive work ethic. Successful candidate will be motivated, dedicated, and desire to continue learning as well as mentor others. He or she will also strive to provide quality service, be conscientious and responsive.
